A common story !!!

Namaste !

I am here to tell you my story. Not so interesting, it seems...nobody made a movie yet ! I am anonimous. I am unknown. I am actually nobody in this world. But, I am a part of this world. Very much !

I never had my diner before my son did. I never slept before he came home. I spent 100 years waiting for him. He never came home before 12 in night, though he always left home before 5 in morning.
Though he has been to all holiday destinations of the world, he himself never had a sunday, never had a holiday.

My son, yes...my son, always wanted to be rich, to be known, to be uncommon. But he is the most common man. He never had his own name in last 100 years. He was always, alwaysn been called, "spotboy" !!!!!

Yes, I am mother of a spotboy. His name never written on any scroll, though he has worked in all 50000 films made in this country in last 100 years.

Lots of things changed, lots of needs changed, but the need and work of a spotboy never changed. He was always the first to come on set and last to leave the set. He was always first to start an 'action', and last to end the day.

He has written 'scene 1, shot 1, take 1' and he has written 'scene 546, shot, 28, take 17' by a chaulk on a black board for last 100 years !!!

He was the only one to get paid lowest wage per day of any given time by 'Dadasaheb falke chitra' to 'Red chille papers productions'. He has transported worlds costliest equipment of 2nd largest industry of the nation, with these minimal wage of the day !

I have forgotten to call him by his name, I have stopped asking where he was full day, I have stopped asking him is he happy with the work he is doing...........but,
I have not stopped waiting for him for dinner, I have not stopped turning the lights off after he sleeps, and I will not !!!

I will wait for flourishment of his career for next 100 years !
I will wait for his name to appear when a film ends for next 100 years !
I will wait wait and wait for him to spend some good time with me for what he has spent last 100 years .............for next 100 years !

......................................a humble salute to the most valuable entity of indian film since 3rd may 1913 to 3rd may 2013.
